treinta y cinco

Adherido.

am I sounding too oblique?

Extraigo:

Well, there’s some place that I’d rather be
And it’s something been on my mind almost constantly
Well, there’s some place I don’t expect you to understand
Well, people talk to me and I know they can’t comprehend

I don't expect you to understand
And it's not much worth trying to speak
Well, can't help trying to say it again
Am I sounding too oblique?

Yeah, there’s some place, I swear it’s not in my mind
But it’s somewhere, yeah, I've been trying so hard to find
Well, there’s some place, I know it’s not quite clear
There is a place I can only say that it’s not right here

I don't expect you to understand
And it's not much worth trying to speak
Well, can't help trying to say it again
Am I sounding too oblique? Yeah

Well, there’s some place, it’s not quite clear
But it’s a place I can only say that it’s not right here

Yeah, it’s a place I can only say that it’s not right here
Whoa, it’s some place
It is some place
Well, it’s some place

Buen camino.

virtud, sustancia o vigor

Me escribió:
Brutal.

desvirtuar

1. tr. Alterar la verdadera naturaleza de algo. U. t. c. prnl.
2. tr. Quitar a algo la virtud, sustancia o vigor. U. t. c. prnl.

I want the world to stop (I want the world to stop)
Give me the morning (Give me the understanding)
I want the world to stop (I want the world to stop)
Give me the morning, give me the afternoon
The night, the night
Let me step out of my shell
That's wrapped in sheets of milky winter disorder
Let me feel the air again, the talk of friends
The mind of someone my equal
I want the world to stop (I want the world to stop)
Give me the morning (Give me the understanding)
I want the world to stop (I want the world to stop)
Give me the morning, give me the afternoon
The night, the night
Tinseltown has followed me from Tinseltown to
Grey adorable city by the docks
Girls will walk in moving air
The sun hangs low, the girls don't care
As they paint themselves at dusk
I want the world to stop (I want the world to stop)
Give me the morning, give me the afternoon
The night, the night
Towns' and cities' populations up and grow
The workers move to the suburbs
In between I watch and go
I run alongside rush hour traffic
A prayer for every car
I want the world to stop (I want the world to stop)
Give me the morning (Give me the understanding)
I want the world to stop (I want the world to stop)
Give me the morning, give me the afternoon
I want the world to stop (I want the world to stop)
Give me the morning (Give me the understanding)
I want the world to stop (I want the world to stop)
Give me the morning, give me the afternoon
The night, the night
I want to write a message to you
Every day at ten o'clock in the evening
Yellow pearl my city is
This is your art
This is your Balzac, your Brookside, and your Bach.

qué nos pone: un ejemplo

KAREN:
I know there are women, like my best friends, who would have gotten out of there the minute their boyfriend gave them a gun to hide.
"Fha!  You and your gun. Get out of here, who needs you?"
That's what they would have said to him. But I didn't. I've got to admit the truth. It turned me on.

KAREN:
The truth was, that no matter how bad I felt, I was still very attracted to him. Why should I give him up to someone else? Why should she win?
