(it´s) as much about the potential of the future as it is about the bittersweetness of the past
You can always go
Downtown
When you've got worries, all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know
Downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown, no finer place for sure
Downtown everything's waiting for you
There are movie shows
Downtown
Maybe you know some little places to go to
Where they never close
Downtown
Just listen to the rhythm of a gentle bossa nova
You'll be dancing with him too before the night is over
Happy again
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown, where all the lights are bright
Downtown, waiting for you tonight
Downtown, you're gonna be alright now
Downtown
And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you
Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand to
Guide them along
We can forget all our troubles, forget all our cares
So go downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown, don't wait a minute more
Downtown, everything's waiting for you
Downtown, downtown, downtown, downtown, downtown, downtown
accidental o involuntario

Now we're just lonely people
Trying to forget each other's names
Now we're just lonely people
Trying to forget each other's names
Maybe we were just too young to know
But now and then
I feel the same,
And sometimes at night I think
I hear you calling my name
Mm, mm, mm, these dreams
They keep me going these days
But that was long ago
We lived together then
And now we do not even say hello
We lived together then
And now we do not even say hello
Maybe we were just too young to know
But now and then
I feel the same,
And sometimes at night I think
I hear you calling my name
Mm, mm, mm, these dreams
They keep me going these days
Maybe we were just too young to know
But now and then
I feel the same,
And sometimes at night I think
I hear you calling my name
Mm, mm, mm, these dreams
They keep me going these days
thorns without the rose
Has punched a hole in the nighttime, yes
I climb through the window and down the street
I'm shining like a new dime
The downtown trains are full
With all those Brooklyn girls
They try so hard to break out of their little worlds
They have nothing that will ever capture your heart
They're just thorns without the rose
Be careful of them in the dark
Oh if I was the one
You chose to be your only one
Oh baby can't you hear me now, can't you hear me now?
On a downtown train?
Every night it's just the same
You leave me lonely, now
I know your stairs and your doorway
I walk down your street and past your gate
I stand by the light at the four-way
You watch them as the fall
Oh baby, they all have heart attacks
They stay at the carnival
But they'll never win you back
On a downtown train?
Every night it's just the same
Oh, baby
On a downtown train?
All of my dreams just fall like rain
Oh, baby, on a downtown train
On a downtown train?
Every night, every night it's just the same
Oh, baby
On a downtown train?
All of my dreams just fall like rain
Well, on a downtown train
Well, on a downtown train
Well, on a downtown train
On a downtown train
trying hard against
I do. I do understand
Otis Milburn : Stop, Liam, don't. Don't do this.
Liam : Oh. Hi Otis.
Otis Milburn : You don't wanna jump.
Liam : No. I think I do.
Otis Milburn : You don't. Look... sometimes, the people we like don't like us back, and it's painful, but there's nothing we can do about it.
Liam : You don't understand.
Otis Milburn : I do. I do understand. I know what it's like when someone doesn't feel the same way about you. It's... someone you can't stop thinking about. It hurts. But you can't make people like you.
Liam : I don't like her - I love her!
I'm so tired of on-my-own
Won't you help me girl
Just as soon as you can
To make you say that you love me
Hey baby, you didn't go for that
It's a natural fact
That I wanna come back
Show me where it's at, baby
I'm so tired of on-my-own
Won't you help me girl
Soon as you can
Even though you don't want me no more
Hey, hey, hey, hey, I'm cryin' tears
All through the years
I'll tell ya like it is
Honey, please love me if you will
Tired of being alone here by myself, now
I tell ya, I'm tired baby
I'm tired of being all wrapped up late at night
In my dreams, nobody but you, baby
If you love me like you say you do
You see baby, I, I, I been thinkin' about it, yeah
I been, I been wantin' to get next to you baby
You see, sometimes I fold my arms, I say, mmh-hmm-mmh
Oh yeah
Oh baby
Meeting you has proven to me
To be my greatest dream, yeah
So tired of being alone (Yeah, you don't know what I'm talkin' about)
So tired of being alone
Sometimes late at night I get to wonderin' about you baby
I'm so tired of being alone (Oh baby, baby)
So tired of being alone
So tired of being alone
So tired of being alone (You're my heart's desire)
So tired of being alone
it's either
But they're the only times I've ever known
And I believe there is a time for meditation
In cathedrals of our own
And I can only stand apart and sympathize
For we are always what our situations hand us
It's either sadness or euphoria
And realize that nothing's ever changed
For all our mutual experience
Our separate conclusions are the same
A reason coexists with our insanity
Though we choose between reality and madness
It's either sadness or euphoria
Perhaps we'll help fulfill each other's fantasies
And as we stand upon the ledges of our lives
It's either sadness or euphoria

depending on you
Beautiful love, what have you done to me
I was contented 'till you came along
Thrilling my soul with your song
Searching for love, my dreams to realize
Reaching for heaven, depending on you
Beautiful love, will my dreams come true
Beautiful love, what have you done to me
I was contented 'till you came along
Thrilling, my soul with your song
Searching for love, my dreams to realize
Reaching for heaven, depending on you
Beautiful love, will my dreams come true
Beautiful love, what have you done to me
I was contented 'till you came along
Thrilling my soul with your song
Searching for love, my dreams to realize
Reaching for heaven, depending on you
Beautiful love, will my dreams come true
Beautiful love, will my dreams come true
Beautiful love

Sindo Garay, Violeta, Chico Buarque?
¿Quién fuera tu trovador?

Amor

a nonbeliever in my own
but now I’ve got forever that’s OK
to take you off the books
untangle all the hooks
I’m looking forward to it in a way
Getting to forget you will be like tearing down
The temple of your image in my mind
Take one last look around
And burn it to the ground
Unloving you will take a little time
To treat you like a fever, like my known enemy
To be a nonbeliever in my own memory
I wake up every morning no more than half awake
A headful of ideas in my mind
A belly full of lead
And strangers in my bed
Unloving you will take a little time, oh really
Unloving you will take a little time
done her wrong y las relaciones
Oh Lordy how we could love
Swore we'd be true to each other
Just as true as stars above
I was her man, she caught me doing her wrong
When a new gal caught my eye
I gambled, I tried to change my luck
With a chick named Nellie Bly
I was Frankie's man but I was doing her wrong
Yes, she wasn't looking for fun
For in her sweet loving hand
She was totin' a 44 gun
To shoot her man if he was doin' her wrong
And right there in front of her eyes
There was her loving johnny
Making love to that Nellie Bly
I was her man, she caught me doing her wrong
Well they'll put you away in a cell
You know they'll put your where the cold wind blows
From the hottest corner in hell
I'm your man, I know I done you wrong
Easy on the roll, real slow
Roll me over real gently
'cause my wound hurts me so
Well I was her man
Well I done her wrong
Well this is the end of my song
I was her man, well I done her wrong
Well, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Done her wrong
